International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8 every year. It’s a day when women across the globe are recognized and celebrated for playing various roles in the cultural, political, and socio-economic sections. It is a day to celebrate women’s achievements, raise awareness against bias, and take action for equality, to create a better gender-neutral society. People celebrate International Women’s Day by honoring the women in their lives.

Women’s Day was originally called ‘The working women’s day’ but later, it was renamed as Women’s Day. This day was first celebrated on February 28, 1909.
